Be Uplifted - Both Physically and Mentally.
The Breast Uplift Mastopexy is designed to give your Breasts a better shape and position.
This operation counters the effects of age, breast feeding, weight loss and natural asymmetry-unevenness.
It gives a more youthful look to the breasts and may be used in conjunction with a second stage breast augmentation.
Using the latest techniques, we reshape the breast so that it looks younger, feels firmer, and is positioned ideally on the chest. At the same time as reshaping, we reduce the size areola – this is the darker skin surrounding the nipple. As is the case with Breast Reduction the nipple remains attached to the breast tissue but it is common for nipple sensation to be diminished for many months after these operations.
Your operation is performed under a general anaesthetic and normally takes 2 hours. As with Breast Reduction and Breast Enlargement Surgery dissolving sutures are used and you are fitted with support Bra at the end of the procedure. You will then stay in hospital overnight.
There will be some swelling and bruising after your surgery. Painkillers will ease any mild discomfort that you may feel and you will probably be happy to go home the day after your operation.
We recommend taking up to two weeks off work to recover properly and you should avoid strenuous upper body activities and exercises such as swimming for at least two months.
