Get a defined, lean physique with our new EMS machine.
Our Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) machine is a medical device designed to generate repeated electrical impulses through the skin to the muscle, inducing contractions similar to exercising. Applied locally to areas of concern, this stimulation activates the muscles to tone, tighten, heal and strengthen resulting in overall fat reduction and muscle hypertrophy. EMS can also provide pain relief by releasing natural painkillers called endorphins to increase both your mental and physical performance.
Dr Mark Morunga talks about EMS Treatment
How does it work?
These electrical impulses mimic natural muscle contractions, and since our bodies can’t differentiate the two, results are the same. Our EMS machine achieves weight and subcutaneous fat loss goals through improving the metabolic rate of targeted muscle groups resulting in higher energy expenditure and calorie burn. By activating these muscles regularly, blood circulation and nutrient delivery will increase allowing faster recovery time and deep tissue healing. The sensation experienced during this procedure feels like twitching or tensing of the muscles.

Who can have EMS ?
EMS is a suitable fitness tool for all ages ranging from 18 to 70 years. Being gentle on your joints yet still activating deeper muscles to improve posture and prevent back pain makes EMS an ideal alternative to those who struggle with high impact exercise or joint pain. 20min of EMS is equivalent to 60-90min of conventional training in the gym, making this treatment a time efficient way of fitting exercise into a busy lifestyle.
Most people can use EMS, however there are certain health conditions that may prevent you from being allowed to undergo this treatment without the clearance of your doctor. These include pregnancy, medical implants (can interfere with the electrical currents), seizure disorders, circulatory disorders, neurological disorders, acute bacterial or viral infections, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, respiratory ailments, cancer, etc.

How many treatments will I need?
Just like conventional training, recovery time between sessions is crucial to avoid any straining or injury to the muscle as you may experience the very normal and expected delayed onset muscles soreness (DOMS) within 24 to 48hrs post treatment. 1 to 2 sessions max. per week is the recommended plan for most, allowing a couple days of rest between. You may practice some low-impact stretching to alleviate tension and gain flexibility in the muscles during this time. Results can be noticed in as short as 4 weeks with regular visits. The longer you commit to EMS, the more beneficial it'll become.
