Give you Skin a New Glow.
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive process that is based on the principles of exfoliation, the removal of dead skin particles leaving your skin smoother, brighter and firmer.
Here at Face Doctors we have a top of the range Crystal Microdermabrasion Machine. Aluminium Crystals blast like a vacuum in a suction head, that we glide along the skin to abrade the surface of your skin, while at the same time there is a gentle vacuuming type feeling which is simultaneously removing the dead skin cells. No needles or Anaesthetics are needed.
Microdermabrasion or facial skin resurfacing has been around for centuries, but Microdermabrasion
as we know it today, was developed in Italy in the mid 1980’s.
With virtually no down time we are able to help revitalise and regenerate your skins look and texture. Leaving your skin smooth and radiant while at the same time strengthening from a cellular level up to your skins surface. With the stimulation of this procedure faster cell turn over and then new collagen, fibre’s and elastin’s will be laid down promoting stronger, newer, more evenly textured skin, improving scars, pigmentation, ageing, acne and allowing products applied to the surface of your skin to be received at a deeper more beneficial level.

What is Microdermabrasion?
How does Microdermabrasion help?
Microdermabrasion targets a number of skin conditions including pigmentation, acne and uneven skin tone, it also helps to cleanse and detoxify the skin. When cells form deep below the surface of your skin they are full of moisture. But as they slowly work their way to the surface they lose moisture, work less efficiently, lose their elasticity and flatten out. As they flatten out they can glue together and this makes your skin surface look dull and cause your pores to clog as oil and bacteria gets trapped. The dead cells also sit in fine lines and wrinkles thus making them worse and more obvious. This in turn affects the general health and appearance of your skin. With a layer of dead skin on the surface of your skin products applied are unable to penetrate to where they are needed. Can any one get Microdermabrasion? Microdermabrasion is completely non-abrasive so is suitable and highly recommended for most skin types from aged skin, pigmented skin, acne skin, dry skin, oily skin, normal skin and more. Most skin type will get positive results from this procedure, even well balanced normal skin gets amazing results as the removal of the dead layer of skin is beneficial to all. It is not recommended if you are taking certain acne medication, are taking blood thinners or are pregnant. What parts of the body can be treated? The most popular body areas to be treated are those most frequently exposed, face, neck, décolleté (chest), and hands, however, arms, back and legs can also be treated. How many treatments will I need? A full consultation will be given at your first appointment and you will be advised on how many treatments you may expect to need. Most skins will benefit from even just one treatment but generally to obtain optimum results we recommend a course; or as a part of your permanent beauty regime 1 every month. Is there any down time involved? No. You may have a slight pinkness or at the most redness to your skin but you will be able to resume your normal day-to-day activities immediately. What results should I expect? Microdermabrasion produces a range of amazing results. The reduction of clogged pores, reduction in pigmentation and the look of fine lines, your skin will look and feel softer and have a more even tone and texture. It leaves your skin looking fresher, brighter and clearer and helps moisturizers and other skin products penetrate deeper into your skin so they work much more effectively. |
