Face Ageing

Treatment

From our mid 20’s we begin a process of ageing that sees us lose facial volume and skin tone. This changes our overall facial dynamic.

Let's Turn Back the Clocks.

Face Aging

As we age we lose volume across the face and often the first signs can be seen in 8 distinct areas. Dermal fillers, including those made from naturally occurring sugars, can be used to replace volume at those key points to re-volumise youthful curves, enhancing or rejuvenating for a natural-looking result.

Face Doctors is excited to offer this cost-effective, natural-looking filler treatment to give you an overall lifted, healthier appearance in the face, cheek and jowl area. Read on to find out more about the 8 Point Approach and make an appointment at the clinic to discover how it can achieve fantastic anti-aging results for you.

Understanding the 8 Point Approach

Youthful cheeks are naturally full of volume. This makes them smooth and well defined. As we get older, we start to lose this youthful volume and definition.

The circles under the eyes are known as tear troughs. Hollow depressions in this area can also be a result of volume loss. As we age, these circles become more noticeable, creating a tired look even when we feel fine.

The lines that run from the corner of our nose to the mouth are known as ‘nasolabial folds’. As gravity pulls down soft tissue volume in our face over time, these lines gradually deepen.

Where the corners of our mouth begin to turn downwards is known as a mouth frown.

Jowls are caused as excess soft tissue volume is pushed down the face over time. Jowls gradually appear as we age and can create a heavy appearance.

A youthful jawline is defined by a smooth line extending from the corner of the jaw to the chin. As we age, jawlines lose definition.

Volume loss in the mid face can cause the cheeks to appear hollow.

Face Aging Treatments

Treatments exist for wrinkle reduction in the frown, forehead and crows area using Botox®. Using dermal fillers help restore lost volume in cheeks and around the eyes. Effective for both women and men, they can smooth away facial wrinkles and folds also help restore masculine jaw lines.

Botox® Cosmetic

Botox® is administered by a healthcare professional as a simple, nonsurgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscles between the brows around the eyes and in the forehead. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form.

Dermal Filler

As you age, sunlight and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in your skin. Using a dermal fillers is an effective way to replace the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.

Mole Removal

Cosmetic Radiosurgery by ellman Surgitron® allows the removal of cosmetic lumps and bumps on the face and body with virtually no risk of scarring. With ellman Surgitron® only the lesion itself is removed after a small amount of anaesthetic administered by a very fine needle under the lesion.

Medical Grade Peels

Made from naturally occurring acids found in fruits and other foods, alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) peels or, at least, the main ingredients in them have been popular for removing dead cells on the surface of the skin (thus smoothing and rejuvenating the skin) for a very long time.

Acne Treatments

Acne, medically known as Acne Vulgaris, is a skin disease that involves the oil glands at the base of hair follicles. It commonly occurs during puberty when the sebaceous (oil) glands come to life.
Face Doctors has a range of treatments for this very distressing condition.

IPL Pigmentation Removal

Intense pulsed light (IPL) or flashlamp therapy is a non-invasive and non-ablative treatment that uses high intensity pulses of visible light to improve the appearance of  skin problems. IPL therapy is considered a non-ablative resurfacing technique, which means that it targets the lower layers of skin (dermis) without affecting the top layers of skin.

Vampire Treatments®

The use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is not new; it has long been recognized for it’s accelerated wound healing properties in such applications as surgery and sports injuries. This technology is now being used for cosmetic enhancement.
